The Better Together Update is an update coming to the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows 10, Android Pocket, iOS, and VR editions of Minecraft. This update will integrate all of these versions of Minecraft into one edition, which supports cross-platform play – the second game to ever do so.[1]

This new edition will simply be called "Minecraft" instead of "Minecraft: Device Edition", and will be a separate entity from the PC edition (called the Java Edition). All downloaded content that a player has purchased, will be accessible across all devices (e.g. if one has bought the Greek Mythology pack on Nintendo Switch, they will also own it in Pocket Edition, Xbox One, and Windows 10 Editions as well).

A special Server Browser will be introduced in this update.[2]
