The history table shows that 16×16 texture packs were officially supported in alpha v1.2.2, but when was support added for texture packs other than 16×16? And was that for both bigger (32×32 etc), smaller (8×8 etc), or both?

Redirect to Resource Pack
In the modern day, the term "texture pack" is usually used to refer to resource packs which only change textures, both officially by Mojang (in the Bedrock marketplace) and in the community. Given that "actual" texture packs have been unsupported for over 7 years (and were never supported on Bedrock to begin with), it's pretty unlikely that someone looking for information about "texture packs" would be actually looking for this page. As such, I propose moving this page to Texture Pack/old or something similar, and replacing the current page with a redirect to Resource Pack. Is this a good idea? I'd like to hear other people's thoughts on this. - Luke18033 (talk) 02:51, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

:: It doesn't need to be a subpage, that's just the first thing that came to mind. It could be Old Texture Pack or Texture Pack (old) instead. But the big outdated infobox at the top of the page makes it pretty obvious that this is an old feature so maybe this change isn't really necessary. - Luke18033 (talk) 05:38, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

List of texture packs

Since this page is still relevant as older version information, and since the wiki is not being a hosting site for texture packs, should theList of texture packs links be removed? I know the pages are being kept as an archive, but I am wondering about the links on the current version of the page. --KnightMiner (t|c) 02:37, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

Oppose for a few reasons
 1. They are 2 very different things. It's like comparing Old Customized to Custom
 2. Texture Pack/old is not a good idea. Subpages are not good and why make a subpage as a redirect?
 3. As for someone looking for "texture packs", there is already a hatnote ontop.
