TAWK TO ME ENLARGE MY PORTFOLIO ADMIRE SOMEONE ELSE

Greetings. Some people call me the Major. I'm a bored, homosexual panda in Milton Keynes, UK. I've got the best hat in the world and I'm always getting laid. LOLJK I'm such a fat bastard. I'm mostly a wiki-vigilante, I watch recent changes like a HAWK. When I'm awake anyway. While I'm experienced in wiki-software, my grammar is shambles so if I screw up on that feel free to revert me and tell me off. I LOVE doing wiki-maintenance. If you need someone to do a repetitive, seemingly trivial task like fix a common issue across a bunch of articles, give that work to me and I'll have a crack at it.

I'm bored, how can I help?

I'm a newbie at editing, can you give me some tips?

  • If you see a citation tag[citation needed] and you have got evidence to provide for that or anything in general (i.e. a twitter post by notch), then use the <ref>http://urlgoeshere</ref> tags at where the citation is needed. Then, if the article does not have a == References == section, make one (make sure it's above any == External Links == and == See Also == sections) and then directly under it just put <references />. However...
  • A common mistake on this wiki is the posting of YouTube videos to articles. The rules make it quite clear that videos only serve a useful purpose of demonstrating things that cannot easily be explained with text. If it's a how-to, it goes on tutorial pages. If you really think a video will serve a purpose on an article, then do not paste it in the middle of the text with a caption like "A video of this can be seen here". Use ref tags as noted in the first bullet point. If in doubt, leave it out.
  • Always make contributions in a wiki-style; the readers most likely won't know who you are, so don't use "I" (i.e. "When I tried trapping spiders with cacti") or "We" or any first-person grammar in articles. Make sure said contributions at least seem useful in some way. They won't be if it's something you've thought you experienced ONCE upon a time while playing or never seen before.
  • If you have some valuable information or suggestions to contribute but you do not know how to or if wiki-syntax/culture scares you, simply drop a message on my talk page and I'll see what I can do for you.
