  • Do we know if physics-enabled objects (sand/gravel) could pass through? I'd love to make a trapdoor that can dump a ton of gravel on unsuspecting enemies! Jedibob5 22:36, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Everything we know about hatches currently is already in the article (so, needless to say, no, we don't know ;) (and yes, I do use commas to excess (and also parentheses =D (and emoticons, actually)))). ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:08, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Given that water doesn't pass through, they're probably “reshaping” partial blocks like doors, rather than extending into other blocks like pistons. So the sand would just hit the edge of the opened hatch and stop. —KPReid 01:59, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

Attribution of mods

I re-wrote the Trivia section, because the way it was written it seemed very unclear. It seemed like both the piston and the hatch were both based on mods by DJoslin, while the piston is actually developed by Hippoplatimus.

Figured I'd change that bit there. Melfice 12:29, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

Released

The hatch has been released under the name trapdoor, and therefore this article should be renamed --Melzardust 09:34, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
