Maybe you should be posting that in the bugs section then? :) --ultradude25 08:20, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

I also have found a number of mushrooms growing on trees (in daylight) in the current Alpha version. Yes, it was on Singleplayer, no hax, and I took a screenshot. Turtleey 04:55, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

I was just recently mining and found several brown mushrooms on rocks in caves. Mooingboog 15:28, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

I am currently going to try and "farm" mushrooms for the next few hours, I'm letting Minecraft sit in the background. I will be checking on it every half an hour to and hour, and posting updates.

http://oi52.tinypic.com/24ljuas.jpg This is my current set-up I will destroy the torch and block I am currently on and get the one to my right and click on a crafting bench.

I have 4 types of blocks to test, all in the least amount of light possible, with both types of mushrooms, 4 of each on each different block.

  • Tree leaves
  • Tree
  • Rock
  • Grass on Dirt

I may try this with a bigger room, and maybe separate the block types and mushroom types further if I get certain results that I am expecting.

Did you put water nearby? I don't think it would have any effect, but it's worth a try. PurpleKiwi 22:29, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
