Redstone Wire Images

I've uploaded some images so you can make the Redstone Wire look better by using the correct images for how it would look ingame. They're kept together in this category. User:Ultradude25/sig 01:03, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Secret Door/Hallway Recipes

This is not my page to edit, so I'm not going to do it myself, but will the secret door and secret hallway runes be added? We're using them on our server and they're loads of fun. (null).exe 17:35, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

What do you mean? There's a hidden door rune that's been listed here for some time now. -- Dagmar d'Surreal 21:13, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Overly Large Pictures

These huge ass pictures are making the page a real pain to read. Could someone with experience put them back to a normal size. Awolfers 00:56, 28 September 2010 (UTC) I can do that, but I need to know how small to make them.

I think it might be best to turn the images into the small icons used on the Crafting page. - JC 01:00, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Alright, I've reasearched wikipedia image code, so I'm working on making the images 50px instead of huge.Awolfers 01:40, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Policy on Spoilers?

I notice there's some edit waring over if 3 so called "secret" runes should have their patterns posted here, can we discuss it like civilized people in here instead of edit waring back and forth?

Make sure everyone signs their comments; This can be done with four ~'s. As far as my two cents goes: This wiki doesn't care about spoilers. Every single recipe in Minecraft is listed, even though many players would rather figure them out for themselves. It's expected to see that kind of information here. Likewise, Runecraft, one of the most popular mods for Minecraft, has its secrets divulged here, too. I think it's exactly appropriate to have the spoiled runes listed here as well. Perhaps put them in a different section, titled "Secret Runes" explaining that they're meant to be kept secret and thus it's encouraged that players figure them out for themselves? But then go on to explain them anyway. That way players that want to respect that can do so, and others don't have to. After all, it's pretty easy to figure it out if you ask around, anyway, I'm sure. JC 23:00, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
I've been hit very hard by this and it's forced me to reconsider much of my reasons for starting this whole project. I've decided to keep working on it and stop policing spoilers. People can go ahead and list them, though I'd really prefer if you did it in a separate section. I must add that I'm in an extremely bad mood now because of this, but I guess even trolls have a right to know everything. I officially allow people to ruin the secrets. SuperLlama 23:03, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
I'm a big fan of open information, and I find the idea of policing such secrets somewhat absurd, to be honest. I like the idea of figuring things out for oneself, but I also like being able to look things up if I get stumped; this hardly makes me a troll. A better way to safeguard the more powerful runes would be to give players the ability to gain rune levels, such that the strength of their runes increases the more runes they make and use throughout the game. Thus, players would have to build up a lot in order to use a Solar Flare Rune, or a Faith Rune, since even if they tried to make it, if they weren't powerful enough, it would simply fail. Or, you could make it so that attempting to use such a rune would cause alerts to be given to each admin player online, and the rune would take a full minute or two to actually activate, giving an admin a moment to investigate the circumstances of its use - and if it's being used for griefing, to have a chance to simply break the rune, ruining the effect. I'm not sure if these ideas could or would be implemented at this time, but it's far more secure to do things this way than to try to police it by secrets alone. :) JC 23:10, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
If it makes you feel better, you were very mature with your response. If I find time tonight I will make sure to make a separate page for secret/dangerous ruins. Hope the project keeps going strong. It's both creative, fun and overall awesome. Moxxy 23:13, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
For now, I'll at least, I'll go move the secret runes to a new section. Anyone who edits them out will be directed to this discussion. Twilightdusk 23:15, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
Move completed. Twilightdusk 23:23, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
Sorry for spoiling it, I thought it was a challenge to figure out, and I posted the picture of it to prove I did it first, I guess I don't win a prize :( 3CXL 00:53, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Lol

It's been like 6 hours and mound is already cracked lol.

Please remove that, unlike the templates this is actually my source code and I have a right to ask you to remove it from this page. I mean it's not like anyone checks it, but meh, if they want it they can decompile it themselves. I'm not going to start a war by doing it myself, but I'll kindly ask anyone brave enough or the poster hismelf to remove it... SuperLlama 13:01, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
Hey SuperLlama, I cant figure out what this part does: public static final int WHAT_ARE_YOU_DOING_IN_HERE_YOU_HAXOR = 1337; Feel free to remove it if you want, I wont start an edit war. Also, can we get more useful runes, like a solar flare that destroys all of a certain type of block above it, it would be nice for removing lava towers and diamond towers. How about a Faith upside down rune to undo Faith I could probably code one up for you.3CXL
On the other hand, neither the Secret Panel rune nor the Flood Gate rune have been posted here. It's funny how SuperLlama's policy on making runes less secret actually made them safer. ^^ Lim-Dul 18:04, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
I wouldn't go that far, Lim. I only bother pulling the ones out I actually use / don't suck. Leben 19:31, 3 October 2010 (ETC)

Tidyin' Up

Well, I've been messing with a server that has this so I'm starting to become more familiar with it's ins and outs. I'll be cleaning up more sections as I go along. It appears that "stacking/linking" secret doors may not currently work with 2.0. Teleport/waypoint pads are also INCREDIBLY FINICKY about what you can do to them and when, to the point of being extremely frustrating at times if you have created the two very far apart from one another. I'll figure out a way to express that in the relevant section after I've had a chance to fully explore exactly how and when you can break the things while you're building them. -- Dagmar d'Surreal 05:06, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Usage on Topsy Turvy

Tried testing topsy turvy and the console came back with "The time is not right for this kind of magic..."

Is this the error message supplied when it's been disabled by admin, or is there a particular time of day that you must use it? I've played around with the chrono and can't find a right time of day. Pinkbits 08:45, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Managed to get it working with iron as the ink. Haven't tried other materials yet.

The Secret Panel rune is incorrect.

Someone please update it. Awolfers 22:23, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

It's not. works on my server. Are you right clicking the centre after you place the rune with item you want toggled?

Actually I believe it is supposed to be iron ore instead of RS dust, that is how it works on my server...

Logging onto my account here for the first time just to confirm that the above line is correct. It's iron ore, not redstone dust. I'll try and figure out how to correct that on the wiki page- please bear with me, I rarely edit wiki articles.

Hidden Door doesn't work correctly on floors

Using it at the top of my structure, to create an trapdoor escape route. It appears that, contrary to how it behaves on walls, where you can rightclick any part of the rune, and two gaps appear, the horizontal version only allows you to rightclick the Keystone to activate it, and only opens a single gap wide, then. Problematic. Jwguy 18:22, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Split

Really need to find a way to split this page up a bit, it's huge. User:Ultradude25/sig 04:12, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Tier Block Marker

I know that by default Cobblestone is treated as a Tier. but with more complicated runes coming, and one already in existance that uses cobble, and a tiered block, do you think we should use another picture to mark the Tiers? Maybe like, a Cobblestone from a custom skin, or something that's semi transparent or something...
