Minecraft Marketplace is an interactive store for community-made content that is planned to open in spring of 2017.
The service is exclusive to mobile devices, available on Windows, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR, and Amazon Kindle Fire devices. The marketplace will feature a shared revenue system, with sales split 50/50 between Microsoft and the content creators. Users may spend real-world currency to add "Minecraft coins" to their virtual wallet, a currency used to purchase items in the Minecraft Marketplace.
Purchases made by users with Xbox Live, are tied to their account.
